Origin Causation and Identity

The origin and causation of all things existing, always lies outside of itself. Simple logical reasoning through observation leads to this conclusion. A work of art, a book, a machine or an organization with all its complexity of structure, never gave birth to itself. Origin and causation, even in self-replicating organisms, always and without exception, lies outside of the creation itself. The same is true for identity. Although the created thing always carries within it the "fingerprint" of it's creator, the Mona Lisa is no more Da Vince than Starry Night is Van-Goh. By the same token, the created Universe, although held together by the force of its Creator, will always be creation in relation to its Maker.

By all means admire the beauty in a sunset, marvel at the majesty of a sequoia, and the imposing awe inspiring wonder of the universe which surrounds us. Rejoice in the miracle of new life, in all of it's marvelous manifestations, value the precious gift of time, and intimately gaze into the eyes of the ones you love... but never forget that it all stems from the Love which spoke all of it into existence. Fully enjoy the gift of creation, but reserve your worship for it's Creator. Ascribe ultimate worth to the Origin and Causation of all, for without His loving Word being sent forth, nothing that is would be...including you and me. Gratitude and humility are the only reasonable responses, once our eyes are open to the realization that we've been given the opportunity to participate in this great dance. The One who chose to create us in His Image, has a greater plan for us then we could possibly imagine. Acceptance, trust, and participation are required elements in this dance however.. Be still and learn to listen...Your Heavenly Partner awaits your response.
